A Gentle Farewell for Your Beloved Dog
Supporting your final moments together with dignity, grace, and boundless compassion
Walking Beside You on This Journey
The bond we share with our dogs is truly unique—they are our loyal companions, trusted confidants, and constant sources of unconditional love through life’s highs and lows. At Hold My Paws, our team know that saying goodbye to a faithful friend is one of the toughest things a pet owner will ever have to do, and we are here to support you through it.
Our in-home euthanasia service allows your beloved dog to to spend their final moments in a place they cherish most, whether that's their favourite sunny spot in the garden, their cozy bed, or simply in your loving arms. We are here to provide a peaceful, dignified farewell in the comfort of home.
Our Journey Together
Our team’s aim is to honour the deep bond you share with your dog, prioritising their comfort and dignity every step of the way. Our Low Stress Handling Certified team guides you through each step with compassion and care.
Initial Discussion
We begin with a conversation about your dog’s journey, offering understanding and professional guidance to help you navigate this emotional decision. In urgent situations, we do our best to provide same-day appointments, ensuring you’re never alone in these important moments.
Creating a Sacred Space
Together, we’ll create a peaceful setting that prioritises your dog’s comfort and reduces anxiety. Whether they find peace outside in the garden where they spent countless happy hours or prefer the familiar surroundings of their favourite room, we’ll honour their wishes and help ensure a gentle transition.
A Peaceful Transition
We’ll take our time to ensure your dog is relaxed and comfortable throughout, and this will include:
A gently administered sedation, given as a fine needle. This lets your dog drift into a peaceful sleep, free from anxiety or discomfort.
Precious time for your family to share memories, love, and final moments together.
The final medication, which is an overdose of an anaesthetic. This is given through an IV line once your dog is very sleepy and your family is ready.
A cherished keepsake; a small vial of your dog’s fur if you’d like, and an ink pawprint preserved as a lasting memory.

Honouring Your Dog's Legacy
Every dog leaves an unforgettable paw print on our hearts. We offer several meaningful ways to honour and remember your beloved dog:
Paw Prints and a Fur Clipping in a little glass vial during the visit
Individual cremation with hand delivery of ashes in your chosen urn
Communal cremation alongside other beloved pets, with ashes scattered on your behalf
Home burial options with casket
Bespoke remembrance options to keep their memory close to your heart
